Neither Polk County, the Department of Land Information nor any of
its employees shall be held liable for any improper or incorrect use of
the information described and/or contained herein and assumes no
responsibility for anyone's use of the information. In no event shall
the County or its employees be liable for any direct, indirect,
incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages (including,
but not limited to, procurement or substitute goods or services; loss
of use, data, or profits; or business interruption) however caused and
on any theory of liability, whether in contract, strict liability, or
tort (including negligence or otherwise) arising in any way out of the
use of this system, even if advised of the possibility of such damage.
This disclaimer of liability applies to any damages or injury,
including but not limited to those caused by any failure of
performance, error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in
operation or transmission, computer virus, communication line failure,
theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, alteration of, or use

Disclaimer of Warranties
Although the data found using the County's access systems have been
produced and processed from sources believed to be reliable, no
warranty, expressed or implied, is made regarding accuracy, adequacy,
completeness, legality, reliability or usefulness of any information.
This disclaimer applies to both isolated and aggregate uses of the
information. The County provides this information on an "as is" basis.
All warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not
limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a
particular purpose, freedom from contamination by computer viruses and
non-infringement of proprietary rights are disclaimed.
Disclaimer of Accuracy of Data
The user expressly agrees that use of the County's web site is at the user's sole risk.
The County does not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error free. The
documents, including tax forms and publications, published on this server could contain
technical inaccuracies or typographical errors. Changes may be made periodically to the
tax laws, administrative rules, tax releases and similar materials; these changes may or
may not be incorporated in any new materials on the web site. However, existing documents
will not be revised to incorporate changes occurring after the publication date. If you
have obtained information from the County from a source other than the County, be aware
that electronic data can be altered subsequent to original distribution. Data can also
quickly become out-of-date. It is recommended that careful attention be paid to the

Information Regarding Privacy and "Cookies"
Polk County collects personally identifiable information such as your name, address, telephone number, or E-mail address only
if you provide that information to us voluntarily. The voluntary
information we collect is used for internal review only. In order to
better serve you, we use cookies to customize your browsing experience.

cookie feature only to store a randomly generated "identifying tag" on
your computer. These "tags" provide a method of distinguishing among
visitors to Polk County's web site.

Polk County.
Security Measures
For site security purposes and to ensure that this service remains
available to all users, the County's computer system employs software
programs to monitor network traffic to identify unauthorized attempts
to upload or change information, or otherwise cause damage.

Notice to Readers
Polk County does not accept any ad with the knowledge of wrongfulness. The County cannot attest
to the correctness of advertisements, discounts, or any other offers made by advertisers. Since ads are
made at the request of the advertiser, the advertiser is solely responsible for the truthfulness of the ad.
We make no representation as to the character of the advertiser. The listing of any one ad does not constitute
an endorsement by the Land information Department, Polk County, or its employees.

All advertisements are accepted at the discretion of Polk County. Polk County reserves the right to
edit, classify, reject, cancel, or reposition any advertisement. Polk County shall have no responsibility
or liability to any advertiser in respect to any loss or damages caused, or alleged to be caused, indirectly or
directly, by the advertising of any one ad. Polk County accepts advertisements on the basis that the
advertiser at no time shall hold Polk County's liability to exceed the cost of the advertisement placed on
this web site. Polk County takes no responsibility for ad content or spelling/grammar errors. Placement
of any ads can not be guaranteed by Polk County. No refunds once ad has been placed. If there is a
discrepancy in the placement of your ad due on our part, we will gladly place the same ad at no cost to you.
Any error in your ad should be reported prior to the next month's publication.

The County shall remain the sole and exclusive owner of all rights, title and
interest in and to all specifically copyrighted information created and posted for
inclusion in this system. Please e-mail the County's webmaster for permission

Linking to the County Web Site
Links to the County's web site are permissible, if not encouraged. However,
we do ask that links point to the home page

rather than to a specific page as those links may change.
Solicitation Prohibited
Use of the Polk County Government information technology system to send unsolicited
faxes and e-mail to Polk County Government and its employees is prohibited.
Choice of Law
Construction of the disclaimers above and resolution of disputes thereof are governed
by the laws of the State of Wisconsin and Polk County. The laws of the state of Wisconsin
shall apply to all uses of this data and this system. By use of this system and any data
contained therein, the user agrees that use shall conform to all applicable laws and
regulations and user shall not violate the rights of any third parties.
